Workbook (Optional)

View Faculty Instructions

  • Create drafts, outlines, and preliminary work.
  • Grades are not assigned to these documents.
  • Documents created here will not appear in Portfolio, Assignment Folder, or Gradebook.
  • Faculty will see only the Workbook entries that you have submitted.  Otherwise, items created here are visible only to you.
  • Faculty may choose to remove Workbooks from all students' Class Menus.

Create An Entry

  1. Before you do anything else, select the kind of text box to use (Plain Text, TFE, or HTML) with Account Preferences and if you are copying and pasting from MS Word, turn off Smart Quotes in MS Word.
  2. Click on Workbook from the Class Menu.
  3. Click on Create Entry
  4. Type a title (required.) Do not use HTML tags in a title box.
  5. Type or copy and paste content into the text box.  How to Copy and Paste from MicroSoft Word.
  6. Attach File (Optional)
  7. Then, click on Save, Submit, or Cancel.
  8. Save
    You will be presented with your finished document as it will be saved in WebTycho. Only you may view the saved entry. Your instructor will not see it until you click Submit. You may return later and continue editing and saving until you are ready to submit it if you choose to. You may also delete the saved entry.

    Submit
    You will be presented with your finished entry as it will be seen by the instructor. Once you submit you will not be able to edit or delete again.

Revise or Delete an Entry (Saved Only)
Only Saved entries may be edited or deleted by students. To revise entries that were Submitted, contact your instructor.

  1. Click Workbook on the Class Menu
  2. Click the title of the entry you wish to edit
  3. Click Edit or Delete
  4. If Edit, make your changes and then Save or Submit

View Entries

  1. Click Workbook on the Class Menu
  2. Click the title of the entry you wish to view. The Workbook is the only place where these documents will appear.
