Setting Up
Each semester, complete this checklist no later than one week before the first day of class.

Required Preparations

See technical requirements for your computer.
Obtain Internet access.
Install a browser.
If using Internet Explorer, turn off Friendly Error Messages. Here's how and why.
Obtain an e-mail address and include it in your registration information.
Obtain your WebTycho User Name and Password.
Turn off pop-up blocker software before logging In.
Log in to WebTycho.
Update JavaScript on your computer.
Change your WebTycho password.
Complete WebTycho Orientation for new class members.
Set your WebTycho Account Preferences.
Install Sun Microsystems' Java Virtual Machine, required if you plan to use TFE.
Enter class and follow your instructor's lead.
