Resize a Picture with Microsoft Windows Paint Program.
The paint program is provided by the Windows operating system.
Your WebTycho Biography photograph must be in digital format and saved as a GIF (.gif) or JPEG (.jpg) file. The file must be 50k or less in size. The blank photo box on the page is about 200 pixels wide by about 260 pixels high. 72 dpi is the optimum resolution for a photo to be displayed online.
1. Click on Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint
2. Once in Paint, Browse and load your picture. If you do not see your file, make sure choose All Files is selected.
3. Click on Image > Stretch/Skew
4. Change the Horizontal and/or Vertical percentage to change the size of the picture. Enter the same % number in each box so your photo will not be distorted.
5. Save the picture as .gif or .jpg.
