Clear Cache in Internet Explorer

Set Cache Limits
A larger disk cache allows more pages to be quickly retrieved, but more of your hard disk space is used. When you exit the browser, it performs cache maintenance. If maintenance takes longer than you wish, try reducing the size of the disk cache.

Set the size of the memory cache and disk cache or to clear it (Windows and Unix only)

  1. Select Tools from the menu bar
  2. Choose Internet Options from the drop down menu
  3. On the General tab, select "Settings" in the Temporary Internet files area.
  4. In the Temporary Internet files folder area, you can set the amount of disk space to use with the horizontal slider.
  5. When you are done select OK.
  6. To clear the Temporary Internet files immediately, select the Delete Files button from the General tab.
